It would be really helpful if you would tell a bit more of your story? There are so many of us who have suffered at the hands of this clinic.

The more who explain exactly what has happened to them the better. Please give us all full details of your experience.

MUST READ! "Defamation" allegations!

I write this post to warn people to fact-check and be careful of who you trust. The aesthetic medicine industry preys on the naive and insecure.

It's interesting that the Consultant Clinic has instructed a legal firm to remove the reviews off this website. A link to the letter is here: https://s3.amazonaws.com/pissedconsumer/legal/_legal-information_html/Legal+Threats/Letter+from+DTM+Legal+2017****.pdf and can be found in the "Legal information". What is more interesting are the claims made by the clinic. Attached is the letter sent by the instructing firm to Pissed Consumer.

In this, Ffyona Mckeating categorically denies ever holding herself out to be a doctor or perfoming any treatments. Apparently she has always conducted herself with "integrity" and have never caused any "risk to patients". Certainly, there is no "Ffyona Mckeating" on the GMC's medical register, which all qualified doctors are on. Furthermore, Dr Raphael and Dr Melissa McKay support these claims, i.e that Ffyona has never conducted herself in a fraudulent manner.

In fact, they both assert, as in the letter, these reviews are "untrue" and tarnishing their personal and profession reputation. Can we ask some the of previous doctors who worked at the Consultant Clinic if they had the same experience? It's undeniably odd that almost all the clinic's previous doctors left at once last Summer. Why would approx 10 doctors leave a super busy and profitable clinic at the same time?

It's almost as if they were trying to run away from something highly unsavoury. I'm sure they could enlighten us as to whether Ffyona personally treated any patients and whether or not she pretended to be a doctor.

I'm sure they could enlighten us about the allegations of fraud and complicity. I'm sure that Dr Vishal Bhardwaj, Dr Charles Daultey, Dr Andrew Harris, Dr Josh Brostoff, Dr Ahmed, Dr Vicann During, Dr Vinnie During and Dr Pete Rose could provide clients, the police, the courts, the GMC and any other interested bodies with valuable information.

Ffyona McKeating is the barmaid that Liverpool FC ex footballer had an affair with. No class then and obviously no class now! The legal firm that has been instructed is probably her Father's law firm as he is/was a solicitor!

The article says she is a “barrister’s daughter”. Barristers generally do not work on or own law firms.

Usually self-employed and managed through “chambers” of work in-house. The firm instructed by Ffyona are just doing their job as lawyers and probs have no idea of the scandal.

Guest

Ffyona injected my face as a “top up” as the initial Botox had zero effect! I had no idea she wasn’t a doctor as she told us she was a fertility specialist!

Guest

Hi,I had two treatments there, and it was awful, the results. And I can for a fact say that Ffyona said she was a doctor!

I am willing to testify etc. I had my treatments aprox 1.5 years ago and it was the worse thing i have ever done!

Hello, you must contact the GMC and testify. This is the only way to get justice.

Guest

Hi, I am doing some research on The Consultant Clinic and was hoping you could email me more details and ideally before and after pictures? My email is beachbodyukkh@***.com

Many thanks x

Ffyona carried out a botox procedure on me in 2016 and told me about her previous career as a gynecologist!!! Im horrified at this!!!!

Hi, please contact the GMC about this. Claiming to be a doctor is a criminal offence and puts patients at risk.

There’s still been nothing more from this clinic to explain the multiple allegations on this page. But they did respond to the Newcastle post.

It would seem that they do respond when they have an answer.

I have a feeling that there’s a time bomb ticking away here. The doctors who left have a story to tell.

£400 for nothing?? JOKE

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

So I went to have my lips done in July, been just over a month now. Decided to go there as they looked so good on their insta and I thought seems it’s on Harley street it’d be really good and good aftercare, what a mistake.

First of all as soon as I paid it was like ok bye, nothing said to me which I found strange. I only had 1ml so not a HUGE difference however as soon as the swelling went down my lips look EXACTLY the same as if I’ve had no filler? So I’ve spent £400 to look the same, fuming!!! I emailed them about this waited the month like they suggested and told them this and asked to see my before picture so I could compare it to now and they said I need to fill out a form and send of two proof of ID with it then have to send it recorded delivery and wait another month!!!

all they said about my lips was it’s my genetics and said I obviously have to go back and spend more and said it had been explained on my previous emails that some people’s look bigger than others. Which is fine, but for my lips look EXACTLY the same is quite ridiculous. Why on earth would I go and risk spending another £400 and the same thing happen.

Absolute joke, thought they might offer me some money back or offer me another ml for free. Angry is an understatement!

Go to Be You Aesthetics in Leeds, they are absolutely amazing, all doctors and nurses that still spend their days off from the clinic in the NHS. Lovely bunch of people and much better customer care.

Guest

Exact same thing happened to me and I had a ml and a half put in. This company is a scam, fake insta pics and fake product, best thing to do is report to trading standards

Guest

This is exactly what happened to me - I didn’t have lip filler but my filler result looked ok immediately afterwards and for a couple of days, until the swelling went down. Then it went back to normal - I mean EXACTLY how it was before the filler.

NOBODY absorbs filler within a week. No one.

It’s not possible. I have real concerns they could be injecting people with saline or similar, which DOES absorb within days.

Guest

Why don’t people do research and read reviews on here before paying these extortionate prices? Why believe everything you see on IG??

Guest

I actually think they use cheap filler and this is why a fair few people say their lips look exactly the same when the swelling has gone down. They charge extortionate prices they must be making a lot if money as the owner is always posting pics flying first class to their “clinics” in LA and Dubai and posts pictures of her swanky and very expensive holidays on CC insta - there are better clinics out there more reasonably priced too

Dr Melissa conducted my lip augmentation and did a wonderful job, i couldn't be more pleased with the results, she was incredibly polite and professional.

However, as it was my first time getting my lips done I was extremely nervous, the day after i got my lips done i noticed a little blister/ bubble on my lip. Prior to booking my appointment i was provided with a few documents in which it mentioned what to expect etc... Admittedly I skim read the documents as from prior research i understood the risks of the procedure mostly talking about lumps.

At this point I was willing to pay to have the small blister dissolved.

A friend of mine also had her lips done at a different clinic and too had a mucoceles and was advised by her doctor to massage it away but then had to have it dissolved away as it did not go away. Therefore in my panicked state i contacted everyone i was in contact with at the clinic and asked them for advice, the response I received from one of the staff members on instagram was highly shocking (see attached screen shots).

I also received a email from one of the admin staff members who basically said it was normal and nothing to worry about and should go away after three weeks, which was all i wanted to hear.

Upon review the document provided does in fact state that "little bumps that are mucus retention cysts (mucoceles) inside the mouth can feel slightly exaggerated post-treatment" from a quick internet search it appears that i do in fact have a mucoceles on the outside of my lip.

I must stress again Dr Melissa is a AMAZING doctor and has given me such incredible natural looking lips and i would highly recommend her, I was solely disappointed by one of her admin staff members.

I contacted the number that was given on a post or website well over a year ago and it was Fyona that answered, it sounded like she was driving. She was super rude and didn't really care that I was enquiring about a business that seemed fairly newish/growing at that point.

She sounded too big for her boots really and dismissive like she didn't really need the call or customers. I don't know...

just a strange attitude. I tried to remain positive on the phone but she kinda made me nervous!Shame as I really wanted to try it out.

Guest

That's 100% Ffyona 'pretend to be a doctor' McKeating who replied to you - same self-righteous tone, same BS. This is what the IG posts don't show, is that their actual customer service is JOKE.

Even if the Doctors are the best, why they chose to be affiliated with such a shady company is beyond me. If you have any problems you don't get to speak to the Doctor, just the snappy unhelpful 'it's not our problem now we've taken your money' team.

Guest

This is shocking and the tone sounds like the same person who does the insta posts - I’ve noticed recently they’re biting back at people who post negative comments. It’s such a passive aggressive response and unacceptable for a business to speak to a customer in this manner, especially where they have a duty of aftercare.

It’s so clear they don’t give a hoot after they’ve got your money. How ironic that they’ve just posted something on insta about being kind to others.

Guest

Pretty sure it’s mainly Ffyona who runs the social media (unless she’s delegated this to someone else which I doubt). In any case, it’s still an extremely rude response from the business and not any way to treat a paying client.

Just abit meh

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I saw this page before having my treatment so it made me abit sceptical. I went to their bolton clinic, what a dreadful site to hold your appointments when the posh Harley street is flashed over instagram.

I was left with two lumps and a gap at the front of my lip, I did get in touch and they offered to see me but why would I want to go back when they messed my lips up the first time. Plus they’d probably want more money which I had already spent £440 to have 1ml.

Dr Natalie wasn’t concentrating injecting the filler, talking to dr Joshua the whole time. The dental blocker wasn’t very effective as I felt it, it in my bottom lip quite a lot.

£440 for 1ml into your lips. You were absolutely robbed.

Find it hard to believe that people would pay this clinic £140 never mind that ridiculous amount. Far better clinics around North Manchester which charge much less.

Appalling Aftercare

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I attended for a treatment and when it had settled down, I wasn’t happy with the result. I contacted the clinic and they wanted me to pay a further consultation fee to be looked at.

After I refused to pay I asked for their complaints procedure but needless to say I never received it.

The owner said that they were covered for the procedure as I’d signed a consent form and told me to address any complaints to their solicitor. I have tried to get a Section 75 but my bank have said that as I had the procedure I cannot claim.

Best way is to make an online small claims court application. Also email Save Face who are building up a large number of complaints about this clinic.

Guest

What did you have done? I’m concerned now as have an appointment with them tomorrow

You should be concerned. This place should be shut down. Run by a fraudster who doesn’t give a *** about anything but her ego and her money.

Guest

Take them to the small claims court. It doesn’t cost much, you can easily represent yourself. That’s what I plan to do when they inevitably refuse to refund me for their poor work.

Very painful procedure, permanent lump and no after care/ customer service

In January 2017 I went to the Consultant clinic. I live abroad and had found the clinic via their instagram which looks very good. I’ve had lip fillers before and after this and never had an issue. But when I got to the Consultant clinic I got a feeling of depersonalized chain-lip filling. Then I was surprised by the appearance of Ffyona who has bad fillers herself, which doesn’t inspire trust in the clinic, but she was very friendly... to the point of sounding fake and overly flattering. I had been waiting for this appointment for a long time so I ignored my doubts. Ffyona and Dr Mélissa pushed for canula procedure I stead of needle, they sounded so sure of themselves that I accepted it. The top lip was no issue, but when the canula was inserted on the left side of the bottom lip, it was inserted so deeply and on the inside of the lip, which I was not expecting, and it encountered resistance from scar tissue I have from a very old injury. She pushed through which was so painful I almost fainted. Both Ffyona and dr Melissa acted like everything’s was normal and my lips looked great, the air turned cold and I felt that I was rushed to leave. I went the bathroom to put water on my face, and noticed a lump on the left side of the bottom lip, where I had felt the pain. I went back upstairs to tell them about the lump but they dismissed it as a normal reaction that would pass within 2 weeks. They were quite short and sounded annoyed at me for bringing it up. Of course by the time the 2 weeks delay was done, I had to leave London and the lump was still there after a month so I went to a Dr in the country of residence. He tried to dissolve the lump but that only reduced its size slightly. I also emailed the Consultant clinic telling them the lump had not in fact subsided, then to say that I had to go to a doctor to try and dissolve it, but both times they just washed their hands off it, at first insisting it would go dozen eventually then telling me that I should have gone back to them as they would have sorted it but there was nothing they could do now that I had been to another doctor. I told them when I brought up the issue they had dismissed it but they basically blamed me for everything. By the way in 3 months the rest of the fillers were gone, but the lump has stayed until now, a year and a half on! It can sometimes be visible when I smile, which is very problematic for me. All in all and terrible experience, I strongly advice against this clinic.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
The Consultant Clinic told me to get written permission for treatment from my doctor, knowing full well as doctors themselves that you can't ask another doctor to do this. My GP was shocked and horrified. Maybe they just want to cover their *** if something goes wrong, but why go to such extreme lengths to promote that they actually use doctors and that their insurance costs are high anyway?!? Really disappointed, taken my business elsewhere

LMAO. Is she not embarrassed to post these? It’s like barbie doll when she actually looks like a haggard old woman.

Ffyona McKeating ENT surgeon???

I work as a nurse prescriber in aesthetics in Manchester and often attend training days in the region. It's normal for us to network at these events, and The Consultant Clinic is occasionally discussed when we get together.

Perhaps I should say, kindly, that it has a reputation within the industry as working on the "edge". Others might say, less kindly, that it's thought of as a cowboy clinic, and gives the industry a bad name. This review page now features high on Google, and anyone searching for reviews on The Consultant Clinic has some interesting reading here! The doctors who left have been mentioned by many others.

I don't know any of the others as they aren't well known locally, but I had the pleasure of meeting the lovely Dr Ahmed on a training day last week. He is an anaesthetist, who now also works in aesthetics in Manchester. He spent only a short time with The Consultant Clinic last summer. I was astounded to hear him describe practices at the clinic.

Quite incredibly, the owner Ffyona McKeating told him when she took him on, that she was a trained ENT surgeon (!?), and he witnessed her injecting several patients, including risky liquid rhinoplasties. He didn't stay long, as he didn't feel that all was quite right there.

We, and the others present on that training day, who are actually genuine healthcare professionals, shook our heads at how this can go on within the industry. It just shows how important better regulation is for the future, to avoid patients coming to harm at the hands of imposters like this.

It is absolutely terrifying to hear she was/is performing liquid rhinoplasties. This is such a risky procedure.

I have a friend who had a vascular occlusion from this procedure and it was done by a qualified plastic surgeon. It’s just dangerous

A Total Scam

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Hi I went to this clinic a year ago to get lip filler after seeing their Instagram photos. I first had to pay a £100 deposit, I turned up to the appointment which was located in a rented room in Harley street, dr Melissa told me I had extremely thin lips and I should go for 1.5 ml otherwise I wouldn’t get a result.

I naively did and in total it cost £670, I had extreme swelling and bruising for 7 days them my lips returned to their normal size.

I contacted the clinic and Ffyona basically said it doesn’t work on some people and would not do anything further about it. This lady is a crook, after seeing all other reviews I believe they inject fake filler, avoid at all costs, the company needs to be taken to court, they are thievies!!!

Guest

I think a protest should be arranged outside their ‘clinic’ and we should contact the media, this company needs to be exposed, it’s illegal, unethical and to it bluntly complete robbery, Ffyona thinks no one will come out of the woodwork because they’ll be embarrassed to say they’ve had work done but *** it, I’m more than happy to get a gathering and get this thief *** down

Guest

Totally agree - crooks! They tell everybody who complains that their body metabolised the filler more quickly than the average person so as not to accept any blame. You would have to be superhuman to completely metabolise filler in 1-2 weeks.

Good Doctors do inform you that the effects will last longer in some than others due to metabolic rate but they don't mean that there is a chance that you will see no difference after the swelling goes down because your body absorbed all the filler and guess what you might need even need more!

Clearly they are using cheap products which don't last and take zero responsibility when something goes wrong or they get a complaint. Soon the industry will be better regulated and clinics like this with a glitzy instagram but low standards will be forced to get their act together.

Not good

I have been three times to the clinic in Liverpool. Twice I waited over an hour and a half for my appointment. I was told when I complained a few days later that someone had fainted before me but I was sitting outside the room and I could hear the conversation and know one had fainted? Each time I've had to go back as after a week the crows feet were exactly the same as they were before. They only used two injections on the crows feet which obviously wasn't enough. This is an expensive clinic as well. Does anyone now go to Dr Raphael in Liverpool? He did my first treatment and this was fine I was told he had gone back to being a GP as his son was very ill with cancer? This was last time I booked in for Botox and asked where he had gone

The “someone had fainted” line had been used on me too, why they feel they need to lie! All my appointments I too have waited well over an hour, they try to fit as many appointments in as they can on a day all down to ££££ instead of allocating an extra 10 minutes to each slot ... there is only Dr Raph I would trust with my face and He now practises independently I have just found out which is great news

Non-Fillers for Face

I went to this company to have derma fillers for the middle and lower part of my face. The doctor was lovely and seemed to know her profession.

It cost me so much money too embarrassed to say and for what - nothing no difference. The products they use are not FDA approved at least not my filler from what I can see on the website. It was a total waste of money and all I ended up with was black severe bruising. Could not leave my house for 8 days and no result.

Very disappointing and a rip off place.

All they quote you is the paperwork you signed. The Government needs to regulate these practices more thoroughly before a severe accident happens.
